Howdy!

Please consider taking the time to complete the survey below.  It’s part of a national study that I’m coordinating Texas A&M’s participation in, and your voice is really important!  I know everyone is busy right now, but it won’t take much time and your participation would be greatly appreciated!  And, by participating you can earn the shot at an amazon.com gift card!

No one HAS to do this, and I won’t know if you do or don’t, but it would be really wonderful if you would!

Each Texas A&M student who receives this e‐mail and responds to the survey will be entered in a drawing for a $25 amazon.com gift card. You will be notified via e‐mail by May 15 if you have won a gift card.

Please go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TexasAM to complete the 15-20 minute survey. Your responses will be combined with those of other Texas A&M students to provide important feedback to the university and will also be part of a national picture of the college student experience.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email Sarah Edwards at sedwards@stuact.tamu.edu.

Thanks and Gig ‘Em!

Sarah

The Meeting Recap Strikes Again!

Hola Ags!

Whoop!!! What a game last night! Clearly the NCAA has it out for us since they scheduled the championship game right smack in the middle of our meeting which is always on Tuesdays at 8pm. Rude.

Anyways! If you couldn't make it, here's what went down!

We had an Eco Moment from Harsh and Melanie about ways you can help promote positive environmental changes in the world!  If you'd like to see their presentation go to our website! (eic.tamu.edu)

We also had subcommitte time! During which, programming traced the Earth Day 2011 banner that we will be painting this Sunday (details below). Fundraising updated the committee about all of the funds they raised and decided on the food that we'll be giving away at this year's Earth Day! Outreach (External) celebrated their efforts on the Evans Library flower bed which was planted this weekend. Go check it out! They also discussed plans to table in order to educate students about environmental issues! Outreach (Internal) discussed activities to host during Earth Day 2011 and Brazos Valley Earth Day.

Galveston Beach Clean Up!

EIC is taking a trip to Galveston to do a beach clean up!

Below are some tentative trip details and we need to know by Tomorrow (Tuesday, April 5th) if you're coming or not! If you're coming make sure you already completed this short form (http://sga.tamu.edu/member_registration) and here's where you can sign up for the trip! (https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AlcVEXAvOwZSdGFwNWRYclRSOV9PXzZ2RFpoa01zbkE&hl=en&authkey=CMmM3pQL)

The current plans are...
Leave College Station on Friday, April 29th in the afternoon and carpool down to Galveston!
Set up camp site (much like the Fall committee retreat) and spend the night there.
In the morning work with Adopt-A-Beach to clean our beach section, then that afternoon pack up and head on home.

The main thing to consider is that this IS a camping trip, and if we decide to camp on the beach we would do it regardless of rain, etc. (except for a hurricane or something hardcore) so that might be a deciding factor if you don't like camping or whatnot. Also, be mindful that this is getting close to finals... it's only one night you'll be away, so we don't want anyone to be over stressed! But, please be encouraged to come! This will be a great trip and a fun time to get to hang out and know everyone, plus we're working with a great organization doing an awesome project! If you want to know more about Adopt-A-Beach, you can go to http://www.glo.state.tx.us/adopt-a-beach/.

So again, the dates are April 29th and 30th. Please let me know BY THIS TUESDAY if you want to go! (A sign up will be at the meeting and on the online sign up here)
