If you couldn't make it out to our meeting last night here is what was discussed!
Jessica Guerra from One Aggieland came and informed us of an upcoming Social Justice conference hosted here in the Fall. It'll be the first of it's kind for schools in Texas and they are in need of volunteers to help out. There's an informational tonight at 8pm in Rudder 401 and tomorrow at 6:30pm in Rudder 401 for anyone who would be willing to help volunteer.
During subcommittee time...
- Fundraising announced that they had earned quite a bit from sponsors enough to earn us T-shirts for Earth Day. Great job!!!
- Programming planned a banner tracing for next meeting and to paint the banner and make buttons on Sunday, April 10th around 1pm at Erin's house. More details to come. The banner will be used to help promote Earth Day.
- Outreach external is planting the flowers in our flower bed outside Evans Library this Saturday at 11:30am. They also are planning on tabling to increase awareness of environmental issues and are working on getting all the details sorted out for a trip down to Galveston on April 29th and 30th for a beach clean up.
- Outreach internal brainstormed a number of activities for tabling at Brazos Valley Earth Day as well as our own Earth Day. If you'd like to see what we came up with see us at both Earth Day events!
